Kim's Krew Services

Kim's Krew Eligibility

Kim’s Krew services are via referrals only, ensuring care reaches those most in need during a health crisis. By working alongside healthcare providers, social service agencies, funders, and local organizations, we aim to bridge short-term gaps in food and essential supplies access with dignity, compassion, and timely support. To qualify for Kim’s Krew services, individuals must meet all of the following criteria:

  1. Currently Experiencing a Health-Related Crisis: The client is experiencing a short-term or chronic health crisis either physically or mentally that limits their ability to access food sources safely.

  2. Experiencing Barriers to Food Sources: The client is unable to access food sources such as grocery stores, traditional food pantries, etc, due to health-related issues that fulfill their dietary needs.

  3. Actively Engaging with a Kim's Krew Referral Partner: The client must be actively working with a Kim's Krew Referral Partner such as a hospital, hospice, Manatee County EMS, MCR Health, NAMI, Moffitt Cancer Center, Centerstone, Meals on Wheels or a health agency with case management support. Verification or referral from partner’s case management support is required.

  4. Understanding Kim’s Krew is Temporary Support: The client understands Kim’s Krew services are designed to provide up to 30 days of food and essential items delivered. Extensions are not guaranteed and may be asked to re-apply.

Food & Essential Items Delivery

Kim's Krew provides food and essential supplies delivery with dignity, compassion, and immediacy. Kim’s Krew delivers up to one month’s worth of food and essential supplies. Kim’s Krew fills a vital service gap for those unable to access food sources due to their health crisis. Kim's Krew is the only delivery model food pantry in Manatee County. In extreme emergencies, Kim's Krew can deliver within 24 hours.

Food Pantry

Kim’s Krew food pantry provides food, hygiene items, and basic housewares to families facing health crises. The pantry is client-driven, aiming to be tailored to individual preferences and nutritional needs, such as low sugar, low sodium, and liquid nutritional supplements.

Kim's Krew volunteers offer compassionate navigation to help clients connect with longer-term community resources towards the next step of stability and self-sufficiency.
